Palina Adriana is a contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional and symbolic relationship between perception, femininity, transformation, and the subconscious. Her practice navigates the tension between abstraction and realism, creating psychologically charged visual spaces that feel both intimate and cinematic.
Originally trained in womenswear fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London, Palina later worked in London, New York, and Paris for fashion houses including Alexander McQueen, Marchesa, and Balmain. These experiences deeply shaped her understanding of aesthetics, composition, materiality, and the construction of visual language, elements that continue to inform her artistic sensibility.
Alongside her experience within the fashion industry, Palina developed a strong foundation in classical arts through academic drawing and painting studies, including at the Florence Academy of Art. Her understanding of light, anatomy, color, and composition remains central to her work, even as her visual language moves toward more atmospheric, intuitive, and conceptual territories.
Her works often emerge through layered emotional states, symbolism, and fragmented narratives, investigating themes of subconscious memory, sensuality, spirituality, identity, and human perception. Through subtle tensions between presence and absence, clarity and ambiguity, her practice seeks to engage both conscious and unconscious experience.
Palina’s work has been exhibited in Zurich, Paris, and Florence. She approaches art as a transformative force capable of translating invisible inner realities into physical form, creating works that invite contemplation, projection, and heightened self-awareness.
